    For a large financial services client, we are seeking a Python/SAS Developer, to work on a 1 year or longer project to automate SAS applications relating to the calculation of earnings at risk.  Coding will be done primarily in Python, but the developer will also code in SAS.


    • Enhance and maintain a complex Python framework which automates a complex SAS-based application workflow
    • Determine system requirements and functionalities needed in large/complex development project.
    • Able to be cross-functional in a high-paced and fluid Agile team. Other tasks may involve automation testing, DB development and documentation.
    • Collaborate with other team members, business units, and user groups to identify impacts of changes, estimate level of efforts, and provide inputs to project schedules.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • 3+ years working with object-oriented Python concepts in Python.
    • 1-2+ years of SAS development in a LINUX/SASGrid environment.
    • Knowledge of XML based technologies, XML messaging, XMLSchema, XML parsing.
    • Experience in building frameworks and automating complex workflows using Python.
    • UNIX/LINUX shell scripting experience.
    • Oracle experience with advanced SQL skills. PL/SQL experience. 
    • Experience with Hadoop and Netezza a plus.
    • Agile scrum/Kanban experience, in cross-functional teams.
