    Project Manager/Business and Data Analyst

    Washington, DC metro area



    For a large financial services client, we are seeking a Project Manager who is also a Business and Data Analyst, to work on a 1 year or longer project. The project involves a large-scale enterprise-wide AWS migration, so the Project Manager needs to have worked on similar applications. 


    • Formulate and define business transformation objectives through research and fact-finding.
    • Manage daily team activities to advance the work of one or more projects.
    • Plan, document, review, and manage team performance.
    • Develop methods for monitoring project progress.
    • Develop, monitor, and review project budgets, schedules and priorities.
    • Prepare and deliver status reporting in areas such as metrics, staffing statistics, resource tracking, unit progress, issue tracking, and staff meetings.
    • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectives.
    • Adhere to corporate and business unit standards and procedures.
    • Provide technology support and input, and track opportunities for technology improvements.
    • Conduct data analysis and document data requirements; develop data models (logical and physical), data dictionaries, and other artifacts.
    • Perform business analysis, data mapping and specification review; specify and document scope; determine and document functional requirements, including fit/gap analysis, defining approaches, data validation.
    • Ensure the quality and integrity of data from conversions/migration.


    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, quantitative or related field.
    • 3+ years acting in a project management/business analyst/data analyst capacity (preferably all three, at least project management plus either business or data analysis) on highly complex data processes, doing requirements analysis, business process analysis, data analysis, system documentation and testing.
    • Must have experience working in an Agile environment.
    • Prefer financial industry experience; prefer database experience.
    • Demonstrated strong customer service, team player and cross collaborative soft skills.
    • Experience with JIRA, Visio, advanced MS Word and MS Project.
    • Strong writing, analysis, and facilitation skills.
    • Experience analyzing and solving complex technical problems; ability to research issues faced by programmers and developers, and creatively seek solutions.
    • Strong time management skills, with track record of conducting multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting deadlines/budgets.
