Capital Markets Project Manager, 6+ months

We have an immediate need for a Project Manager for a 6+ month contract to support one of our large financial services clients.  Within Capital Markets, in their Liquidity Risk area, the consultant will provide support with project management tasks, budget analysis, governance and compliance, on-boarding, monthly newsletters, reporting and other ad-hoc projects.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting, analytics, ad hoc analysis.
  • Assist with a variety of project management tasks.
  • Contribute to the budget analysis process.
  • Support governance and compliance.
  • Assist in on-boarding new resources.
  • Participate in production of monthly newsletters.
  • Support the day-to-day capital and liquidity reporting process.
  • Primary focus will likely be in interest rate and liquidity risk management.
  • May also support P/L attribution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required, Masters or CFA preferred
  • 3-5 + years of experience in financial services (finance, mortgage-related fixed income, or trading floor preferred)
  • NOT looking for a professional project manager, but more an ombudsman
  • Must be comfortable with quantitative analytics and calculus concepts (for example, familiar with derivatives)
  • Require strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service, team player and cross collaborative soft skills.
