JAVA Developer (Front-End)

For a large financial services client, we are seeking a JAVA Developer (Front-End, Full Stack), to work on a 1 year or longer project to automate SAS applications relating to the calculation of earnings at risk.   

Responsibilities

  • Work with/lead other developers to analyze requirements, design solutions, develop new functionality.
  • Software design, development, coding, testing, building, deployment, and debugging of new software or enhancements to existing software using Java with frontend frameworks.
  • Explore bleeding edge technology stack to assist design and development of robust automated testing.
  • Analyze and collaborate on requirements with managers or business requirements needed in new or revised application.
  • Build interactive prototype applications, research solutions and other blueprints that clearly articulate site/application structure and organization.
  • Perform application performance tuning and optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years in software development with Java and web applications.
  • 5+ years Spring Framework, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, JSON, Bootstrap, HTML and CSS.
  • 2+ years with SVN (Subversion), Eclipse Plugins and Maven.
  • Experience with notational programming, Python, Unix Scripting, Tomcat, SQL and SOAP. .
  • Exposure to Agile software development methods and Scrum.
  • Exposure to Selenium, Cucumber, and SOAP.
  • Prefer experience in financial services industry.
