For a large financial services client, we are seeking a JAVA Developer (Front-End, Full Stack), to work on a 1 -year or longer project to automate SAS applications relating to the calculation of earnings at risk.    The ideal candidate will be a “guru-level” web user interface designer, used to rapid, iterative prototyping, who thrives in a fast-paced, low-structure environment.

Responsibilities

  • Frontend web application design and development
  • Lead development effort independently
  • Prototype, research solutions, and develop
  • Collaborate with SAS Developers, Testers, Production Owners, Business Users and PM with minimal supervision and guidance.
  • Work independently to understand user stories and design appropriate system solutions and contribute to all phases of system development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Guru experience with web application user interface design and implementation
  • Expert experience with JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, JSON, Bootstrap, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience with Tomcat, Relational Database, and SQL
  • Understanding of Maven
  • Full-spectrum application building with minimum requirements specified
  • Used to responding quickly to changing requirements and working with heterogeneous technologies
  • Assurance of delivery with limited resources
  • Prefer senior experience with Spring Framework and Java based web applications; experience in corporate training
  • Prefer experience in financial services industry.
