For a large financial services client, we are seeking two Business Analysts with data analysis experience, to work on a 1 year or longer project to re-platform a major system.  Prefer candidates who can do both data and requirements analysis, and participate in testing.


  • Perform business analysis, data mapping and specification review for the migration of a relational data warehouse that is being retired.
  • Scope definition and documentation.
  • Functional requirements definition and analysis.
  • Fit/gap analysis, defining approaches, data validation.
  • Preferred but not required: perform Data analysis, requirements development and some testing.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of data from conversions/migration.
  • Formulate and define business transformation objectives through research and fact-finding.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, quantitative or related field.
  • 3+ years of business and data analysis experience, doing requirements analysis, business process analysis, system documentation and testing.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Well-versed in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Strong writing, analysis, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience analyzing and solving complex technical problems; ability to research issues faced by programmers and developers, and creatively seek solutions.
  • Time management skills for conducting multiple tasks simultaneously, while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with Visio, advanced MS Word and MS Project.
  • Nice to have Gherkin experience, testing experience, experience estimating project schedules/durations. Prefer experience with financial data/systems, particularly with mortgage and/or loan-level data.
