Senior Financial Analyst

We have an immediate position available for a Senior Financial Analyst with a strong business analysis focus to support one of our banking clients on a 6-9 month project generating and interpreting loss forecasts for one of their portfolios. We are seeking someone with recent hands-on experience interpreting loss forecasts and loss allowances.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Generate loss forecasts using different sets of assumptions and inputs, including proposed assumptions for CECL implementation
  • Critically review quality and appropriateness of input datasets and parameters
  • Critically evaluate loss forecast outputs ensuring correctness, interpreting sensitivity of outputs to inputs, and isolating drivers of change
  • Produce reports/presentations of conclusions to various stakeholders.
  • Assist in formulation of standardized criteria used in evaluating results different loss forecast assumptions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Master’s preferred
  • 3-5+ years in analyzing loss forecast or loss allowance results for a bank, building statistical models, understanding business needs
  • Track record of exercising business acumen and judgement, and being able to defend conclusions.
  • Strong quantitative skills
  • Experience using SAS, Python and SQL
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and oral.
